What to look for in 2011: film pt 3

The Ledge
May 29 (limited)
Liv Tyler, Patrick Wilson, Christopher Gorham, Terrance Howard, and Charlie Hunnam star in this thriller revolving around religious differences of an atheist and a Christian. It comes to head when the Christian forces the atheist to rooftop to threaten both their lives: push off the one who has faith in the afterlife or not kill someone and kill himself to save a life. Needless to say this will be uncomfortable and cause decent discourse on the subject at hand.

Ironclad
July 26
In 13th century a determined group of Knights Templar (and Lady Isabel) defends Rochester Castle against the tyrannical King John. Of course we must have an awesome woman in the mix to display her ability to fight alongside men. Lady Isabel, played by Kate Mara, takes after Eowyn in LOTR. Paul Giamatti and Brian Cox also star.

All of the following films are of unknown release dates.

Dance of the Mirlitons
Comedy that stars Chloe Morentz, Jackie Earle Haley, and Kristen Bell. I know absolutely nothing about this.

Frankie Goes Boom
I've heard nothing about this other than it has Ron Perlman, Lizzy Caplan, Chris O'Dowd, and Whitney Cummings. Bound for hilarity.

Freeloaders
This will be a nerd's fantasy movie in which a bunch of people live for free in a rocker's mansion, but their living situation is about to change when the rocker decides to sell the place. What will they do about it? It stars nerd-friendly host-turned actress Olivia Munn, incredible nerd Natalie Morales (from Parks and Recreation, The Middleman, and White Collar), Jane Seymour (mmmmm), Brit Morgan (also from The Middleman), Dave Foley (Newsradio, Celebrity Poker), and Kevin Sussman (Big Bang Theory, For Your Consideration). Look out nerds! Looks like this'll be for us!

Highland Park
Parker Posey. Michelle Forbes. That's all you need. Okay, so Bo Derek and Danny Glover might bring it down in quality a notch, but we should give it a chance. Deborah Ann Woll (from True Blood) and Billy Burke also star, if you even know who they are. It IS a movie about teachers losing their jobs, so I find that interesting in itself.

30 Beats
This movie connects people by the chain of events caused by sexual encounters. LEE PACE, Justin Kirk, and Jennifer Tilly. While not an original plot, it's got Lee Pace, so I'll watch it. It'll probably suck, but I just wanted you all aware of it because Lee Pace is my mancrush.

Red Dawn
For the first time the United States of America (using this term politically for post-colonial) is invaded, and a small town is taken over by North Korean soldiers. Some manage to escape imprisonment and death and form a ragtag group of rebels. They are all mostly teens, too. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Hutcherson, Josh Peck, Isabel Lucas, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Now I'm just waiting for a movie to star Kristen Bell, Kristen Wiig, Jennifer Coolidge, Jane Lynch, Betty White, Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, and Tina Fey. This would make me die...of laughter and delight...and maybe a little talent-induced orgasm mixed in too.
